Restoration of Stream Habitat in Ripton

The Green Mountain National Forest is providing notice of opportunity to comment on a proposed fisheries project on the Rochester and Middlebury Ranger Districts of the Green Mountain National Forest in the Towns of Pittsfield and Chittenden, in Rutland County, and Ripton, in Addison County, VT. The projects propose to restore stream habitat, function and morphology by placing large woody debris (LWD) in the headwaters of Michigan Branch (also known as the West Branch Tweed River) in the Towns of Pittsfield and Chittenden, and in the Middlebury River and Sparks Brook in the Town of Ripton, Addison County, VT.
