Addison Route 17 & 125 ~ Improvement Project

A road improvement project affecting the Town of Addison VT, in the County of Addison VT is beginning in November 2012 and will be completed in ­­late June of 2013. The Vermont Agency of Transportation and Peckham Road Corporation will be working together to complete the project.

The scheduled improvements will include resurfacing of 0.2 miles of roadway that includes 1,059 feet of portions of VT State Routes 17 and 125 and will include some new signage, new pavement markings, and drainage improvements. This project will also include the removal of the ferry access road, construction of a a new boat launch, construction of two gravel parking lots, construction of walking paths and the reshaping of the Chimney Point driveway.

Message boards alerting motorists to possible road changes will be utilized in 2013 when work begins on Route 17 and 125.
