Addison

The town of Addison, located in the upper west corner of Addison County, was officially chartered in October 14, 1761 and named after poet Joseph Addison. The small town, with a population of 1,393, is bordered on the west by Lake Champlain and home to Snake Mountain, the Dead Creek, and Hospital Creek.
