NON-MINOR AMENDMENTS TO THE ADDISON COUNTY REGIONAL PLAN FUTURE LAND USE MAP
The Addison County Regional Planning Commission (ACRPC) will hold a hybrid public hearing on the 2026-2034 Addison County Regional Plan. This meeting shall be held on OCTOBER 14, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
This hearing is being held pursuant to 24 V.S.A. §4348(n). This notice is provided pursuant to 24 V.S.A. §4444.
This hearing specifically anticipates non-minor amendments to the Future Land Use Map. The Future Land Use Map in the Plan, which was approved by the ACRPC Full Commission on September 9, 2026, depicts Village Areas and Planned Growth Areas in six communities that have expired municipal plans. Vermont State Statute requires current municipal plans to be in effect in order to designate Village Area and Planned Growth Area land use categories.
The amendment to the Future Land Use map subject to this hearing modifies the Village Areas and Planned Growth Areas in municipalities without current municipal plans to Special Use Areas anticipating Future Village Areas and Planned Growth Areas upon adoption and confirmation of municipal plans in those communities. Supporting edits explaining the map change and adding a Special Land Use Area will be made in the Future Land Use chapter of the Plan.
