Public Hearing – New Haven Enhanced Energy Plan

Purpose: The Addison County Regional Planning Commission’s Energy Committee will be holding a public hearing to facilitate its formal review of the Town of New Haven’s recently adopted and submitted Energy Plan. This review will be to determine if the Town’s Plan has met the standards required to receive a determination of compliance and a subsequent elevation in status to an Enhanced Energy Plan. During this meeting, the Energy Committees’ members will ask the Town’s Planning Commission members questions about the plan to learn more about it. Members of the Public are also welcome and encouraged to attend and to ask their own questions. Upon the conclusion of the hearing, the Region’s Energy Committee will review the facts revealed via the proceeding and will then make a determination as to whether the plan is compliant or not. Approval or disapproval of the plan will be rendered to the Town in writing at which point the process will be concluded or remedial action will be undertaken, respectively.

When: The Hearing will take place during the Town of New Haven’s Planning Commission meeting, which begins at 7:00 p.m. on October 12, 2026.
